THE SPECIALISTIC ENTERPRISE OF CORROSION PROTECTION
LEMAT LTD. IS OFFERING HIGHLY EFFECTIVE METHODS OF SECURING AND RENOVATION OF THE CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEMS.
The central heating systems lose their efficiency and heating productivity with time. This is caused by two processes
that take place in these installations:
1. The corrosion of the material, which the installation is made of. This process takes place always, regardless to the
applied metal (steel, copper, aluminium etc.). the disastrous activity of corrosion also takes place in the installations
made of plastic pipes in which the most important (and corroding) part responsible for heat transfer are metal radiators. The
speed of corrosion and consequently the period of proper exploitation of the central heating installations depends on the
susceptibility to the corrosion of the materials and the degree of the corrosive aggressiveness of the water.
2. Low heating efficiency of the installations is also caused by the boiler scale deposits that are forming on the internal
surface of the pipes, radiators and other parts of installations. The scale and intensity of this process depends mainly on
the chemical composition of the water and the temperature in which the process of exchanging the heat takes place.
Since many years LEMAT specialises in preventing and removing the effects of both of these processes.
We suggest two solutions which guarantee almost complete elimination of these disadvantageous processes:
SOLUTION A - recommended for new installations (up to 1 year of exploitation) -
it consists of PREVENTING THE PROCESSES MENTIONED ABOVE by the systems of electrochemical corrosion protection.
This method has been used by LEMAT
to secure from corrosion hundreds of buildings in Warsaw.
SOLUTION B - applied in old installations which are already afflicted with corrosion.
In this case the thermorenovation process has two stages:
STEP I - is based on dissolving and removing the sediments by the preparation which is extremely effective and at the
same time it is not toxic and absolutely environment-safe.
STEP II - effective protection from corrosion of the central heating installation that had been cleaned in the STEP I.
We achieve that by installing the system of electrochemical corrosion protection (see SOLUTION A).
Our knowledge and experience show that only the complex, two-stage action can be rational and
effective in fighting the corrosion. Limiting oneself only to flushing the central heating installations brings only a
short-term improvement of its efficiency, but this effect will soon be lost because of the accelerated process of
corrosion.
It had been very often observed that after the process of flushing the central heating systems the effect was gone
after one year and the perforations of the pipes appeared-they were caused by the pitting corrosion.
But applying the system of electrochemical corrosion protection after STEP I allows almost 100% elimination of the disastrous
process of creating sediments and boiler scale deposits in pipelines and radiators and slows down the corrosion.
The method presented above had given very good results a in few dozen buildings that we have
had renovated in Warsaw. Thanks to its high efficiency and effectiveness our investors have no problems with their
installations since many years. We have over 15 years of experience in applying the systems of corrosion protection. We still
gain new experience in order to help improving the conditions of exploitation the water installations the best way we
can.
Now, after many years of experience, LEMAT has made another breakthrough making it possible
to protect even older installations that had already been exposed to corrosion and are in advanced stage of exploitation.
