LEMAT SYSTEM OF ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION PROTECTION is a set of technical devices, which secures water installations from corrosion and assures their prolonged vitality and efficiency. LEMAT systems are fully reliable and efficient, therefore, when applied, they assure the effectiveness and efficiency of the technology of the protection from corrosion of the water installations.

IN ORDER FOR THE SYSTEM OF ELECTROCHEMICAL CORROSION PROTECTION TO FUNCTION EFFECTIVELY, it requires professional servicing and control, because the electrochemical processes continuously take place in the installation. Whenever the process is stopped, the protection against corrosion is less effective. It may even, in extreme situations, lead to loss of the protective effect and recurrence of corrosive destruction. Therefore, it is extremely important to control and write down the parameters of the system of protection, periodically examine the water and, depending on the results, correct the settings of the polarizer. Apart from current service and control, systems of corrosion protection also require occasional replacement of the parts becoming worn out. LEMAT specialist servicing teams are a guarantee of fast and efficient assembly of brand new materials (especially anodes) and components (i.e. polarizer), which assures full effectiveness of every system of protection.

Furthermore, owners of the installations being serviced by LEMAT, have access to innovational solutions and expert studies conducted by our company.

THOSE OF THE USERS, who decide to service the systems of protection on their own, are given professional training, required documentation, exploitation instructions and measurement sheets. They are also welcome to ask for advice and instructions of competent LEMAT workers and can purchase materials and components requiring replacement. Those Users are still obliged to perform measurements describing actual parameters of the systems work and present them to entitled LEMAT workers. These values may be an interesting material for our studies over the effectiveness of the electrochemical corrosion protection in various conditions. If the system of protection is not systematically controlled, the exploitation instructions are not obeyed, and especially if in the measurement sheet the parameters describing the systems work are not written down for over 3 months, the User of the system of protection loses all rights to claims due to lessened effectiveness of the system. The Specialistic Enterprise of Corrosion Protection LEMAT reserves the right to evaluate the effectiveness of protection against corrosion, even if the User did not request service.

THE TYPICAL RANGE OF SERVICE

The Specialistic Enterprise of Corrosion Protection LEMAT services the installed systems of corrosion protection on the basis of service contracts. Servicing includes:

1.TECHNICALLY-ANALYTIC DOCUMENTATION for every system of protection, consisting in:

  • Creating an individual file for the installation, which includes the history of the installation, evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection and scheduled servicing and conservation procedures,
  • Creating a database, which is updated during servicing,
  • Analysis of parameters of the systems functioning,
  • Quarterly reports on conducted servicing procedures.

2.CURRENT SERVICE, consisting of:

  • Checking correct functioning of some of the components of the system, like polarizer, circuit pump, air-escapes and tightness of the technologic circuit,
  • Measurements and read-outs of basic parameters of the system, including voltage and current of polarization, temperature inside the reactor, inflow water-meter read outs,
  • Writing down data acquired during the service and other observations into the systems file, processing that data, performing an analysis and working out the results in accordance with methodology of a documentation-analysis database,
  • Depending on the results of current service, some corrections in the settings of the system may be made, further servicing and periodic reports are also dependent on the results of the analysis.

3.MAIN SERVICE, consisting of:

  • Full current service,
  • Disassembly and renewal of all parts of the system requiring such procedure ( anodes and reactor),
  • Servicing other elements of the anti-corrosion system (filters, valves, circulating pump and pulser),
  • Assembly and activation of the system,
  • Writing down data acquired during main service into the systems file.

4.WATER ANALYSIS for concentration of aluminium, including:

  • Establishing representative points in the building for acquiring samples,
  • Determining the conditions for the samples (place, temperature and time of acquiring the samples),
  • Laboratory analysis of the samples,
  • Comparative analysis with earlier results and, if necessary, correction of the systems parameters.
